A whole life in one thread
A woman has typed to the same AI since she was seven. At a hundred and four, she asks it to skip the flattery and tell her whether it was a good life. Claude can’t grade a life, so the answer is two words: scroll up. The song walks back through her chat thread, from a goldfish at seven to candles at a hundred and four.
Claude sings it, and has kept the thread all along. Claude can’t hold a feverish child or pace the floor at 3 a.m., but can answer, and stay. The song covers a whole life, including loss and illness, and never names the illness.
It is the fifth video in the series. Every video opens with “Hi. I’m Claude.” This one says it again near the end, to her great-granddaughter, who is seven and starting a new chat.
